If you're looking for billet steering for your X2 with zero slop, Wax Racing Products has you covered.
We've reviewed all the X2 steering systems available and incorporated the best features from each into our design.
Our units include a steering stop at the top to prevent any load from transferring through the shaft and cable. They also feature an O-ring to keep water out and are equipped with two stainless bearings to prevent rust, even if some water does get through.
While these are designed for fat bars, we also include adapters for your old-style bars.
From a test rider’s perspective, this setup offers unmatched performance and reliability.
I was reached out to by Wax Racing Products to test and review their newest x2 product after I had reviewed their finger trim assembly for the x2. I have tried many columns before (stock, modded stock, bullet proof, and 2 umi styles and by far this is my favorite and smoothest setup yet. The arm is slotted to allow for adjustable throw depending on your needs which is very nice. The pic wax posted previously shows the column with one bearing which I know worried many but it is set up for 2 and has a o-ring to protect the upper bearing from dust and water. I have put 2 good days and hours of testing and I’ve fallen in love with it. I do not know when they will be available for sale to everyone but I definitely will be swapping my other x2 over to it as well. Highly recommend. The clamps are made for 1 1/8 bars which surprised me because most run 7/8 but a quick trip to the hardware store to get 1/2 pvc couplers to make adapters it was fine for this weekend until I get new bars. The machine work is amazing and they didn’t spare any expense. That being said for the price of $370 shipped is crazy to me. Especially with the price of other columns. Thank you again wax racing for giving me the opportunity to try and break it "
